Dance performance COMPASSION is much more than an aesthetically intricate, physically attractive and visually convincing image of contemporary ballet, brought in by Kjara’s Dance Project.

COMPASSION is the story of everyone’s life. It answers to eternal questions of existence and meaning, our endless need of social acceptance that can never be fulfilled, deforming our true selves to the point of becoming unrecognizable. comPASSiON is a universal love story. Touching in its fragility and exciting with the hope it is bringing. The choreographer Kjara Stari? and her dancers find an answer in compassion. Not in the fake compassion of commercial humanity feeding its glutting ego, but in a compassion that thrives in recognition of urgency to overcome egocentric individualism of today’s society, in the compassion born from love for the other and of the world as the only possible paradise.

Misa Kuranaga

Misa Kuranaga – is a Japanese ballerina at the Boston Ballet, initially trained at the Hinushi Kaoru Ballet School in her native Japan and then received additional training at the School of American Ballet in New York City. Before joining Boston Ballet in 2003 she was a member of the San Francisco Ballet. In Boston she was promoted to soloist in 2005 and to principal dancer in 2009. She received a scholarship award at the Prix de Lausanne competition in 2001 and also won a gold medal as a Junior in the Moscow IBC that same year.
